Alhamdulillah the weather held and we managed to hold our Eid prayer in the open allowing more people to attend than would have been possible in the Masjid and it also allowed sisters to attend something they’ve not been able to do since the start of the Pandemic.
The day started with prepping the sheets to allow the worshippers to lay their prayer mats on to stop them from getting wet due to the morning dew that was on the grass. Worshippers started arriving around 8.45, everyone was made aware of the COVID restrictions with everyone being asked to socially distance as much as possible and wear masks. 9.35 the prayer was held with a short reminder by our resident Imaams. Shaykh Mustafa Raslan did it in English and Mulana Mahmood Al Hassan in urdu, with both raising the issue of the current plight our brothers and sisters in Palestine and Gaza are going through.
