Syria Appeal

Let’s unite as one body and save our brothers and sisters in Syria.

Humanitarian crisis worsens in Syria. Syria is facing one of the world’s largest displacement crises with over 14 million refugees having fled the country and more than 7.2 million Syrians internally displaced within the country.

Almost 14 years of crisis has severely disrupted critical services, limiting access to healthcare and essential support for millions.

Since the collapse of the previous regime, many refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) are considering returning home, and thousands of people are now arriving from neighbouring countries every day – but after almost 14 years of violence, many have little or nothing to return to.

Years of crisis have devastated Syria, with 70% of essential systems like water, electricity, and sanitation either destroyed or severely damaged.

Public services like healthcare and education are in ruins, with 38% of hospitals and 47% of primary healthcare centres non-functional while over 5,200 schools are destroyed. Many schools are now sheltering displaced families.

The United Nations has described the destruction in cities including Aleppo, Homs, Raqqa and Eastern Ghouta in Damascus as catastrophic.

The human rights, political and security situation is extremely unpredictable and volatile.

With winter approaching, the lack of access to essential services is deepening the crisis and putting countless lives at risk.

As Muslims, we have a sacred duty to stand with our Ummah in their time of need. That time is now. Your donations can be the difference between life and death. As we continue our lives, our dear brothers and sisters are fighting to stay alive. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
“The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.” [Bukhari, Muslim]

One Ummah’s dedicated teams are working tirelessly on the ground in Syria providing emergency aid kits, clean drinking water, hot meals, mattresses and more.
